Wie stolz bin ich doch auf die Schleizer und meine Heimatstadt Schleiz, die meine Ausstellung "Werkeschau" mit einem überwältigenden Applaus am Freitag, dem 22. Februar eröffnet hat. Die ehrenvollen Worte von Herrn Gensior dem Laudator und 1. Beigeordneten der Stadt, sowie der Eröffnungsrede von Ulrike Wetzlar, Galeristin der "Kleinen Galerie" in der Alten Münze und die vielen Gratulationen von Familie, Freunden und Besuchern haben mich wirklich sprachlos und sehr glücklich gemacht. Ich bin voller Dank für diese Ehre und freue mich auf die kommenden Events und Besuche während der Zeit der Ausstellung bis zum 23. Mai.

One may call it a "home run" and yet it is premier and great honor for me to prepare for a solo exhibition in my home town Schleiz. I feel humble and excited to show my paintings and drawings in the historic "Alte Münze" building which is known for being the birth place of Johann Friedrich Böttger the inventor of the European porcelain production in 1708. Paying tribute to the personal importance of this exhibition I am glad to present my new painting "Schleiz" which shows the house of my grandparents in a wintry scene, of course, a personal piece for me and also a town view that many Schleizer will easily recognise. The exhibition "Werkeschau" is on show from 22nd February to 24th May this year and I look forward to seeing many visitors, friends and family.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came to celebrate the opening night of Ernesto's solo show "Connections".
Extra special thanks to Andreas Düwel the organizer and curator of this exhibition, who made all visitors welcome with wine and music. And of course an extended Thank You to the creative force that spiced up the evening with their wonderful signing voices and there skills on the guitar and the bongo by throwing a spontaneous performance >>> Pictures on Instagram ;-)
