23/5/2016 1 Comment Commission work "Sunflowers"Just in time for summer a very flowery commission painting of a large sunflower bouquet has been sold into a private collection in the UK.
The arrangement was sketched first in an oil colour grayscale from life with very sharp and direct daylight. The deepening contrast within the yellow-ocre-orange-brown scheme was then built within several studio sessions over months without using the context of the original motive. The 50,5 x 60,5 cm oil painting has been shipped from Germany to The Circle Gallery in Sunninghill where it was professionally framed. I would like to thank the owners for their commission and their trust. I wish them all the best.
